Mine infrastructure
Over more than a decade, Empower has delivered civil design services into mine operations across the Bowen Basin in Central Queensland; with a keen interest in safety for mine site and mine-related infrastructure. Services include, but are not limited to, stormwater network re-alignments, upgrades and expansions; along with access roads and pads for both light vehicles (LVs) and heavy mining equipment (HME).
Clean energy
Empower is a trusted advisor and delivery partner to large clean energy infrastructure projects globally. With deep expertise gained from projects in the UK, Australia, and the Philippines, our team delivers tailored solutions across the full spectrum of the clean energy sector—including wind, solar, hydro and nuclear.
We provide full civil Balance of Plant (cBOP) design services and engineering expertise to major contractors and developers, including longstanding partnerships with BMD Constructions and its joint venture partners. Our involvement spans the entire project lifecycle—from feasibility studies and Development Application (DA) support to detailed reference designs, progressing through design check gates and culminating in Issued for Construction (IFC) documentation.
Empower’s value lies in our ability to dynamically respond to each project's unique demands. While large and mega projects share many commonalities, site-specific conditions and constructability insights create opportunities for granular optimisation. Our in-house design and construct (D&C) capabilities, combined with the broader BMD Group’s construction expertise, allow us to adapt rapidly to emerging issues and deliver real-world solutions that enhance outcomes.
We work flexibly with our clients—whether they seek early contractor involvement (ECI) through integrated project partnerships or prefer a design-only engagement. Empower is currently delivering civil design services for wind farm developers during early feasibility and DA phases across Queensland, with the option to scale our involvement as project needs evolve.
Our advisory team also supports procurement and delivery strategies, including modular construction approaches that ensure high safety performance and execution efficiency.
